As I reflect on 2022, I am overcome with gratitude and excitement. The Brockenbrough Team is privileged to serve an extraordinary group of clients and is led by an exceptional group of investment and operational professionals. I am fortunate to work alongside partners I deeply respect as we strive to provide our clients with excellent service and investment guidance. 2022 has been memorable—witnessing volatility, inflation, and pointed global challenges that have not been seen in many decades. I am confident and have enduring hope that we will persevere through these challenges.
At the firm level, we have celebrated several accomplishments over the last year. Highlights include the launch of a new brand, featuring a name change, a new website, and a modern logo. In addition, we implemented three new technology systems to better benefit our clients, and we expanded our roster by adding four new team members to Brockenbrough. Lastly and importantly, I want to especially highlight my friend and partner, Chip Caravati. Chip achieved the remarkable milestone of being with the firm for thirty years. His steadiness and strategic intellect have been instrumental to our firm’s success. Thank you, Chip.
I am proud of the work our team has done to continue the firm’s longstanding legacy of stewardship to its clients through the modern lens of today’s institution, endowment, individual, and family. This foundation was set by my father, Austin Brockenbrough III, and Jim Lowe over 52 years ago. Our ethos continues to prioritize human relationships and strategic, forward-thinking advice. While we cannot predict what lies ahead, our team is deeply committed to our clients’ success. Continual improvement energizes and motivates our team for the year ahead.
